oh, hey...
Ladies, Gentlemen...its that time of year again...don't let your loved one forget to send you something pretty. I mean come on, print this out leave it on their pillow with a list of all the flowers and colors you like. What could be more subtle then that?

SUCKER.
What seems like forever ago (2007...OK, not THAT long ago..) to be exact Amber and Brian came in to the shop inquiring about having me do their wedding flowers. I fell in love with their ideas automatically, as well as how much fun they seemed to be having with the whole wedding process. To date their wedding is one I'm most proud of...because well...we managed to cantilever cymbidium orchids (notoriously REALLY top heavy...and a bit tricky when it comes to making them stand exactly where you want them to) in very light metal bowls. Not to mention I still have a picture of the bouquets in my office...all in all it was just a really fun wedding to do. So, you may be asking where I'm going with this...well last week I had the pleasure of making an arrangement for them, like I've done many times in the past couple years, but this was for the birth of their very new, and I'm sure very cute little baby. I love when a plan all comes together, what can I say...I'm a sucker.

focus.
Oh, this one was so hard to give away...I will remember you fondly pink, grey and orange arrangement. I hope your new owner loves you as much as I did.
In other totally unrelated news:
I spent a good 10 minutes this morning cleaning off my desk...organizing non-sense, sorting thumbtacks, all just to waste time. When all was put away and everything was clean I decided I needed to make a sign for myself as a constant reminder to finish what I start. So, after making a sign that states "DO YOUR WORK" I realized that I could have actually been doing work, instead of making a sign. So, needless to say...if I owe you a wedding quote, I'm getting there, I'm just having a "focus" moment. Thanks for your patience.

send flowers instead ok?
"Why do people give each other flowers? To celebrate various important occasions, they're killing living creatures? Why restrict it to plants? "Sweetheart, let's make up. Have this deceased squirrel." ~The Washington Post
Please don't kill squirrels, I think they're adorable...
