Yup, lots of pictures and not a lot of words...I would however like to tell you that lighting in the centerpiece pictures is totallllly crappy and they are in fact lavender and red, not pink and red as they appear.

So once again...i've been tagged to do a survey. Most of the time I find online surveys boring and filled with "what's your middle name" type of questions....but this one was different. So, ignore this post completely if you don't wish to actually know random silly things about me...I'll be posting flowery photos from this past weekends wedding soon. So here we go...
OH! I found a picture of the lamp...ignore the scene in the foreground, its a strange world I live in.
Last thing you bought?
What did you want to be as a child?
ok ok thats enough...there are more but I just can't bare to do them....ugh. I'll finish it tomorrow...
What is your current obsession?
I'm a fairly obsessive person in general. Although I don't usually obsess over specific objects but more feelings, sounds, smells, I've been known to tell inanimate objects that I love them. Currently i'm fairly in love with the smell of the giant Black Locust trees that are in bloom EVERYWHERE around here. Driving with the window down in like being in a candy factory.
The sound my phone makes when I get a text message, not so much for the message itself...but more the actual sound. Cheesy 90's music...its true, very sad but true. Certain foods, chocolate soft serve ice cream..I could keep going but I know for a fact that I would bore you. What is your weirdest obsession?
Twirling my hair like a love sick pre-teen. Until recently my hair wasn't long enough to actually play with. It's a novelty at this point, i'm sure it will wear off.
What do you see outside your window?
What is your favorite color?I'm usually drawn to muted colors, antique colors, vintage colors...basically colors with a spot of brown added to them. Mustards, dark teals, plummy purples, dark apple green.
What is your weakness?
Naps and kids.
What animal would you be?
Everybody who knows me probably think I would say an octopus (list this in the obsession question please)...instead I pick a hedgehog. I think they fit me to a tee. Shy, curious, sleepy, quirky and chubby all coated with a hard exterior impossible to get through.
What do you want to never happen in life?Ok I cant answer this here...it's a little tooooo deep for a blog survey. OR, I could keep it light and say I would wish for my kitties never to die.
What is on your bedside table?
An amazing ceramic lamp from the 50's in the shape of a girls head. I bought in in Boston from a little vintage shop. It had come in that morning...still without a price tag when I saw it behind the counter. After asking how much it was the shop owner told me she was going to take it home herself. Seeing the disappointment in my face she sold it to me for $20 because she "knew I had fallen in love, and hated to break my heart." Its true...I love her. Also I have my TV remote, a lucite necklace I bought at a flea market for $1.00 (again I was given an amazing deal because I was smitten and oogling) A water glass...most likely half full, and my PSP...(nerd alert!!)
Last thing you bought?
A ceramic bird feeder for my porch in the shape of a bubble....also in mustard yellow.
What do you think about the person that tagged you?
Megan? Um...does the word "swoon" explain it?
What was your favourite children's book?
Too-Loose the Chocolate Moose, & The Giant Vegetable Garden...both of which I still proudly own.
Who do you want to meet in person?
What did you want to be as a child?
I've always the kid with to many markers, enough paper to draw for years, coloring books for days. I've vividly remember trying to drown my Barbies in the pink hot tub I had for them. Toys were never really that much fun for me...it was all about arts and crafts, glue, sparkles and string. So I guess this means I wanted to do something creative. "Be an artist" is what most likely came out...but I hate the term artist so lets just say I always wanted to be a maker of junk.
What did you dream about last night?
I have a really hard time recalling my dreams...BUT I did wake up with a giant bruise on my left forearm, so it must have been a good one.
Which do you prefer, day or night?
What's your favorite piece of clothing in your closet?
I wear fairly basic clothes, a uniform of sorts...jeans and usually a black shirt. Sometimes if i'm feeling feisty I'll toss on a brown shirt or MAYBE teal. I am however known for my accessories. I have been collecting vintage jewelry for years and have enough to open a small but happy store. If I had to pick a favorite piece it would be an amazing bakealite ring I paid WAY to much for...but I love Earl.
What's your favorite flavor of tea?
What's your favorite flavor of tea?
I'm a sucker for any form of green tea. Iced, hot, ice cream, candy...bring it on!
What's your favorite quote (for now)?
"You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better then your dreams." -Dr. Suess
Show me something awesome!!??
ok ok thats enough...there are more but I just can't bare to do them....ugh. I'll finish it tomorrow...
OK! I'm back...awake and ready to answer silly questions!
What would you like to get your hands on right now?
Ummmm...can I be totally unoriginal and put money? Who doesn't want a big fat stack of cash?
If you could go anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?
I would love to go to Savannah GA, I know I know...so boring. I really want to visit some old friends, get some tattoo work done and sit and stare at some hanging moss junk all while drinking a sweet tea. I think it sounds kinda magical at this moment in time.
Do you have any secrets for unblocking a creative block?
Ummm. No. I kinda feel like if somebody could climb inside my brain and look around they would be amazed at the thousands of ideas I have cataloged...all by color mind you. I've found that if I continually rip out photos, write down words, take to many pictures, keep a sketch book, and doodle in corners that I never run out of ideas. My house is a virtual sketchbook....I have fabric swatches, magazine clippings, quotes, photos, toys, all over the place, so I guess if I had to give advice it would be to surround yourself with the things that make you happy. Even if its a little piece of ripped paper that nobody understands but you. Without my little pieces of paper I would be a very boring human being. OH! and don't be afraid to make a mess!
So the rules of this survey say I can erase a question and make one up of my own...Hmmmmm...
What is your current favorite song?
ok its totally a tie...and remember before when I said I have a strange obsession for bad 90's music? yeah...well...yeah thats right, I'm going there.
Oh and on that note I'm done...please play No Diggity on repeat...it'll make your day better I swear, and if you're feeling so inclined try and imitate the ladies in the fancy spandex unitards. Their dance moves are stellar.

So I feel like I'm posting this on the appropriate day...today New Hampshire passed the bill legalizing gay marriage. Awesome...I couldn't be more proud to live in a state that actually GETS it. With that out of the way...last weekend I had the pleasure to do the flowers for these two lovely ladies. They got married at a beautiful little inn in VT called the Apple Hill Inn...to be honest I was pretty in love with their bouquets and took WAY to many photos of them. Textural bouquets are among my most favorite to do...and they just so happened to have a fantastic color pallet (apple green, royal purple and chocolate brown...sexy huh?) I was able to get 80% of the flowers used in the bouquets locally and had a fantastic time picking them...
and even more fun putting them all together.
