SO...the second wedding of the weekend was small...just some personal flowers and a little decoration for the cake. I'm at a loss for words right now because the show true blood is on in the background and I'm highly distracted. If you have haven't watched it...go. now. Seriously...stop reading this and go rent it, buy the 1st season...do whatever you can to watch it. I'm leaving you with just pictures..Bill Compton and his vampire fangs are calling.

kristin and nick 5.23.09

So needless to say it was a busy weekend. A rehearsal dinner, and two weddings, not to mention a memorial service. The first of the weekends weddings was for Kristin and Nick...a couple in the midst of moving...in fact I think the movers were at there house during the reception. Or maybe is was the during the honeymoon...whatever, it was still going on. their wedding was no small event, 7 bridesmaids

and a very happy reception accented with every detail you can think of in pink and apple green. Fresh, clean, preppy, and all around classic.






OH! Lets not forget the rehearsal dinner flowers! The dinner was served at a local country inn called Home Hill...which happens to be located on one of my most favorite roads to drive way to fast on. (shhh....well known secret, i have a bit of a lead foot)
It was a bit more formal with an old english garden feel. It also smelled divine....



Now off to sleep and do it all again in the morning...

POP! 5.15.09

So...this past weekend was the annual fundraising auction for our local children's science museum. I've worked on the event for the part 4 years...each year had been fun and totally different. I AM however very partial to the theme this year...POP! (define that however you want...they all seem to work) So, after 1000's of silk rose petals we glued (with only one mildly burned finger), 100's of circles, 300 billy balls, 75 pin-cushion protea, 100 gerber daisies, 3 jack and cokes and many laughs...it is officially over....until next year. 

swoon.

i'm just kind of in love with this arrangement, as well as the card message that went with it (but i cant share...its so sweet and private that i'll just leave it between the sender and the luck girl who received it)...so lets take a moment to enjoy it.

officially OBSESSED...

Holy moly...seriously people i'm totally obsessed with this new polaroid thingy that I downloaded tonight...it can take a normal picture and before your little eyes turn it into the amazingness that is a polaroid photo. The over-saturated colors, strange lighting...and that warm feeling the shaking of a polaroid gives you. Ok, ok you don't get to shake the picture but it makes the shaking noise for you. Enjoy.

so folks, its that time of year again...wedding season! weee!

when i see jill's bouquets i think of sun or the brady bunch singing sunshiny day (totally in a good way i promise, i'm down with the b. bunch...thats their hip hop name if you didnt know) i tend to associate everything i do with music. everything seems to have a theme song or a song that would be its background music. so, i've added two songs, you take take your pick on what you think works best. i'm pulling for matt costa...mainly because he's dreamy.



oh folks, the next event is the montshire auction! and we all know how much fun that is....remember last year? well this year is VERY different...i'm excited :)

ms. perry had a big bday.

so this past week our friend ms. perry celebrated a big birthday, and decided she was going to throw herself a party (i love it, and its totally something i would do because i know it would be JUST how i wanted it...its the mini control freak in me...and i have a hard time with surprises)
